Reliable natural gas filter change in shimmering heat with lifting and traversing system from Pfaff-silberblau

For natural gas filter towers in the Saudi-Arabian desert, Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products GmbH, Kissing/Germany, has developed and installed a special lifting and traversing system for exchanging filter elements. This involves the use of 19 specially designed trolleys in three different sizes and eight gantry cranes made from ATEX-compliant lifting elements and electric wire rope winches from Pfaff-silberblau. This extremely heavy-duty special solution is capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius, sand and dust and even the explosive environment.

Improving Mine Safety and Efficiency

Columbus McKinnon associates located in South Africa recognized that current re-railing practices were unsafe. To remedy the situation, they developed a product that significantly enhances safety and efficiency in underground mines – a patented re-railing device that could be used in conjunction with their existing Yale Taurus Jack.

Heavy and Light-Duty Cranes Enhance Reliability in Cold Climates

In a region where the thermometer sometimes doesn't rise above 0°C and is usually snow-covered, the JSC Yamal LNG Consortium, in cooperation with the French EPC contractor Technip, built three LNG trains for liquefying natural gas. Six cold-climate STAHL CraneSystems brand cranes were developed with 100 tons of lifting capacity to be used for installation and maintenance of Yamal LNG's gas compressors.
